She produces bespoke handwoven textiles from her South London studio, working with clients, shops or galleries. Wahid’s work has been exhibited internationally and draws upon influences including travel, her Islamic faith and nature. She is particularly interested in traditional craft techniques, including the Japanese Kasuri Technique and Bangladeshi Jamdhani technique and natural fibres.
